Cool Astronomical Event TONIGHT - March 26

Skies are looking to be crystal clear later tonight for a rather unusual event.
From nightfall until the wee hours of Monday morning, we can watch minor planet, Ceres, pass in front of a spiral arm of galaxy M100.
This event occurs high in the sky, just trailing the hindquarters of the constellation Leo.
Many members of the South Shore Astronomical Society are geared up for visual and imaging observations.
I will have "Cyclops", my C-11, aimed and ready to snap a bunch of 3-minute exposures.
Hope you will consider getting out there to watch this passage unfold.

Thanks for the tip. We at the Cape Cod Astronomical Society in West Yarmouth got at least one shot. It's not pretty but its an accomplishment for us. Exposure of 150 seconds at 9:39PM .
