Although the chances of being rained/clouded/snowed out are about 65% I'm hoping to view the 2024 total eclipse up in Burlington. Also planning on booking reservations this year. Plan on bringing Gail along as Tom H tells me that we'll experience primal emotions that I missed viewing my only viewing back in 1964 while doing KP and peeling potatoes while looking out a window that was so dirty that the sun could be viewed directly.

Motel reservations may not be cancelable but is anyone else thinking of viewing the 2024 event? It'd be nice to go as a group.

I agree, Vermont in April is a difficult place to count on clear skies. Turns out a friend from elementary school that I have kept in touch with lives right outside of Dallas and he thinks of April weather as generally being clear and stable. I will have to investigate this further...

I plan on traveling to view the 2024 eclipse but down towards the southern end of the totality path in either Arkansas or Texas. Northern New England in April will still be quite chilly and likely snow covered. I'd much rather view this is a warmer climate especially since this will be the last total eclipse visible in the continental US until 2044.
