A Peek at Mars

Unread post by AstroGeek »

So Mars is as close as it's gonna get for the next decade or so.
I have been out there on several nights recently, trying to catch a steady view.
Clear nights WITH a calm atmosphere are rare indeed.
Here's the best I could muster.

11-inch SCT telescope with 2X Barlow, ZWO ASI290mc webcam, UV/IR cut filter

My portrayal of Mars looks best on a computer screen from across the room. 8)

A valiant effort and not bad.

As for yours, well... Can you hear me, btw? I'm at the other end of the room.
