I took this one last night. Problem is - no flats or darks so I really clipped it. I would love to tease this out a bit as there is a nice dust trail separating the two, as well as another nebula at trail's end. Can't do it without the flats. I'm still testing out the L-enhance filter on my Nikon D5300. This was with a 50mm lens 45 images at ISO 800 and @ 3minutes on my travel rig that never travels.

Pete, I assume you are talking about NGC 1499. A 50mm lens takes care of that for me. I just put the Pleiades in the lower right hand corner, put on an H Alpha lens, and as they say in zee French, Voiyla!

Impressive shot of the NGC 1499... nice to also get M45 in same field. You are doing amazing imaging with your 'travel rig'.
