M33 Triangulum Galaxy

Unread post by menardre »

I was able to image M33 last night. I took 50 exposures of 4 minutes along with darks & flats. I used SGP to control the focus and imaging, PHD2 for autoguiding, and Images Plus for post processing. I used my ZWO ASI 071 attached to Celestron Off-axis guider using my Stellarium 90mm refractor. Lodestar was also attached to off-axis guider for autoguiding. I previously tried this object using my CPC1100 SCT, but the Triangulum galaxy is actually too large, it did not entirely fit in the filed of view.
M33 is a spiral galaxy about 2.72 Million Light years away. It is the third largest galaxy in the Local Group of galaxies.

Beautiful image, Roger.
That field of view worked out really well, and I really like how you handled the processing.
