ERATOSTHENES CRATER

Taken May 31, 2020 with a ZWO ASI 178mm camera attached to a Celestron 11" SCT. Video capture was made with SharpCap. 5000 frames of video were taken and the best 800 were selected and stacked by Autostakkert. Wavelets applied in Registax and then some very careful processing in PhotoShop.

Very nice Steve! I like the shadow on the outside rim.

Sorry. I guess some folks are having trouble opening the file. I usually post as a .tif or .png file to preserve the details, but sometimes that doesn't work. Will post all images as .jpg's from now on.

Great image...
Lunar imaging is not as easy as it sounds. Looks like you really mastered the craft of lunar imaging. Thanks for the details on how you accomplished the imaging.

Most great lunar images are done under conditions of excellent seeing - which typically occurs between 0:00 and 4:00 hours. Are you achieving this kind of quality in those quiet hours?
