Thanks for responding Paul. From what I have read more on the NDB, They process the nuclear waste to extract carbon 14. Then they make synthetic diamonds out of it. The rest of the remaining waste is chemicaly treated to neutralise the radioactivity. As for the diamonds since it is made of carbon 14 it decays by shedding electrons which is the source to the batter's source. It is very complicated, A lot of it is beyond what I could understand. But, it may lead to something better. Take care,Jerry

Hi Bruce, today I went to harbor freight and found an ammo box that my 12 volt 30 ah battery will fit in top to bottom,it just fits front to back I have a little under 5 inches and side to side about2 inches on either side. It has a latch on top and handle. All for $10.00.It could be what you could use. For sure you can't beet the price. Jerry

That is a good price Jerry, I'll have to see if it would fit my (4) 10 AH batteries. Was the ammo box metal or plastic?

Hi Bruce, the ammo box is plastic. It is listed as a 50 cal ammo box there is a smaller 30 cal box for $7.99 .I'm hoping to get out viewing soon. Hope this helps you find what you can use. Jerry
