Collimating a reflector

Unread post by Paul D »

Hi all,

Last nights Zoom meeting brought to question, how do you collimate a reflector using a laser collimator. Well this Youtube video gives you a good idea how to do this. Of course its always best to do it with someone who knows how to collimate a telescope if you have never did it before or simply are unfamiliar with the process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G98RTP6jbY

Also here is a link to an inexpensive laser collimator. https://www.amazon.com/Telescope-Collim ... 899&sr=8-4 All laser collimators are basically the same. Some have other attributes that make them a bit more money, but all in all a cheap collimator is really all you need.
