Local Astronomy Clubs and Observatories: 2020 Schedules

A number of local astronomy clubs and observatories host weekly and monthly sky viewing and meetings/lectures that are open to the public. Check their websites for the latest dates and times. Start times for observing will vary depending on the season, and events may be cancelled at short notice if weather dependent.

Clubs: Public Events

Astronomical Society of Southern New England
- Monthly meeting every second Saturday, Rehoboth MA
- Monthly night-time public star parties at Moose Hill, Sharon MA
- Monthly night-time public star parties at U-Mass Dartmouth MA during the school year

South Shore Astronomical Society
- Monthly meeting first Wednesday each month, Norwell MA
- Observing 2-3 Saturday nights a month, Norwell MA

Skyscrapers
- Monthly meeting first Friday each month, North Scituate, RI (usually)
- Observing every Saturday evening, North Scituate RI

Cape Cod Astronomical Society
- Monthly Meeting/Lecture first Thursday each month, South Yarmouth MA
- Observing 1-3 Saturday nights each month, South Yarmouth MA

Local Observatories: Open Public Nights
• Tuesdays: Ladd Observatory, Brown University, Providence, RI
• Wednesdays: Bridgewater State University Observatory, Bridgewater, MA
• Wednesdays: Jacoby Observatory, CCRI, Warwick, RI
• Fridays: Wheaton College Observatory, Norton, MA
• Fridays: Frosty Drew Observatory, Charlestown, RI (plus special event nights)
• Saturdays: Bridgewater State University Observatory, Bridgewater, MA
