Re: Battery pack
Simple build, made this one myself and probably will make a larger one soon. This was based on photos I saw online. Figured I would start small and get the wiring down before I attempted a larger version. The box is a plastic ammo box with a water proof rubber seal in the cover, but the future build...

Re: Betelgeuce
Betelgeuse, Alpha Orionis (α Ori) has been shedding material for a very long time and will do so for many years to come. I wouldn't pull up a chair waiting for it to go supernova though. Betelgeuse, depending on when it actually became a red giant could still have hundreds of thousands of years to a...

Roger, You don't give yourself enough credit. Along with your two NGC's you have two IC's and three LEDA's. Click on or save the image to enlarge it to see the LEDAs and the IC's better. NGC 7129 Master_ABEdiv_Autocolor_ArcSinH2_NXT_EzSR_EzMask_HTbg_Curves_MLTsharp_CurvesRed-SAT_CurvesbgRed.jpg

Oldest and Rarest
My other addiction to this other than observing is collecting meteorites. A few days ago (after some negotiations) I received a slice of perhaps one of the oldest and rarest meteorites ever discovered. It is known as Erg Chech 002. What makes this meteorite so special is not only is it estimated to ...

First James Webb Color Image.
Today NASA released the first color image from the James Webb Telescope. It shows a galaxy cluster known as SMACS 0723 and looks back about 13.8 billion years. The image also show a good amount of gravitational lens. Here is the image for those who haven't already saw it. AAZsYZ9.jpeg Images due to ...

If anyone was going to capture this event I knew it would be Steve. Great job.
