Re: Pickerings Triangle

Nice job, Roger.
Actually, the wisps of the Veil Nebula are comprised mostly of oxygen and hydrogen.
So the blue-green and red colors are indicative of these ingredients.

**BRAVO**
A wonderfully scripted description of your experience.
And some nights, its like a WET cat inside a balloon.

I like the third one, with the star reduction, cropping, and fantastic colors.
Nice work, Roger.

Re: July Images in Monochrome

Thanks Roger,

Pickering's Triangle is fairly near.
And tonight is looking mostly clear.
I may target it, too.
With H-alpha red and O-III blue.

Good Luck!!

Re: July Images in Monochrome

Thank you, Mike and Tom. This relatively recent change to monochrome imaging has been refreshing. Instead of having to capture data with LRGB filters, I just need to collect the L. This reduces the workload by 75% right off the bat. It also allows for several targets in one night. And all are 30-min...

Re: World Weather Map

I really like this weather site!!
One of the big advantages is that is shows FOG, which normally does not show up on other weather models.
As we head into August, it seems that more foggy situations will arise and I will be eager to put this site to the test.

Thanks, Tom.
