As for post processing, I went with OSC (one shot color) to avoid what I considered the tedious imaging and subsequent processing of mono. Was a bit bummed to learn that the OSC required some post processing also. But it's nowhere near as bad as mono.

Hi Frank, What does the image look like when stacking the 4 subs but not using darks and flats? That's a starting point. Then, what does the flat look like? Getting accurate flats can be tricky. Have you played with the flats, darkening them enough that vignetting is visible? Have you tried twilight...

Flats? They'll address both vignetting and dust motes. I find that even after cleaning there's one or two small dust rings in the raw image, and all optics have vignetting to some extent.

Really good for just 50 minutes. Pardon me Tim, but I did some mild processing just to see better what you've got there.
Oh my, the noise is expected with such a relatively short exposure. This image really rocks!
