Re: Canon 450D NGC7000 Ha

Beautiful image, Frank. As Roger mentioned, a nice amount of red.

At the expense of it going a tad less red, you can go to the COLOR tab and lessen he saturation. You will start to notice more of the gasses revealed.

Just a matter of taste, really.

Re: Rocket launch tonite!

Thanks for the heads up, Bruce. Looking very grey here at 7 PM.

Still remember the liftoff we saw from the CSP back in 2009!

Re: Measuring Quasar redshift with a spectrometer

The Mead DSi 3 sensor size I believe is 11 mm diagonally. Too small?

Re: Measuring Quasar redshift with a spectrometer

Pete,

What prevents a less expensive camera- even way expensive camera with USB3, such as the ASI224 from bringing you closer to your goals?
It sounds like the experience and knowledge you have gained from your efforts should not be left in a state of hiatus again.

Celestial Tidings to the Ethereal Bacchanalian Mind

FACT OF THE DAY:

The gas cloud surrounding the stars in the constellation Aquila contains enough alcohol to make 400 trillion pints of beer.
