Re: Viewing 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova

Tonight would be a good time to try and locate Comet 45P in Hercules but guess what? It will cloud over and drop another 1-3 inches of snow by morning. You can always count on NE weather to mess with night sky opportunities. The comet is about mag 7 so you'll need binos or a small telescope if the w...

Re: Go See "Gravity" They get it.. mostly right...

Meredith and I saw this movie in 3-D and really enjoyed it. I won't pick apart what the director took liberties with as it was entertaining and that's all that counts. I'll buy it for my collection on Blu-Ray when the studio releases it.

Re: August Meeting Night 8/10

Bruce, As already pointed out, many of the meeting regulars will be away and with no speaker on tap I'll pass on attending and wait for the September gathering. It should be a good one with many tales from the Vermont weekend. The weather forecast is looking good for Saturday evening so those attend...

Re: ISS to transit the Sun

Bruce, I set up in my yard here in New Bedford. It should have been visible but as of 4:36 PM is was a no-show. I'll use the link you posted to watch for another pass in the future. Re: Ocean State Job Lot Does It Again!

George,
I'm a little late reading this post but I'll pay my local OSJL a visit and see if this table setup is still available. It's a good price for a table that has so many uses. Thanks for the tip.

Keep posting your images Joe. M42 is one of my favorites but it's a little too late from my part of the sky. I did get a peek about three weeks ago but no images. :)
