I just reviewed my updated "Stary Nighhts". According to the update, this comet (Panstarrs C/2011 L4) is already at magnitude 4.5 and later this month will be a bright comet (.07 magnitude). Am Iseeing things, or does other astronomy softwear confirm this predicition

Re: Panstarrs C /2011 l4
According to Cloudy Nights, Don, there is a glitch. I saw this message:
"The last version of Starry Night is 7.0. You should update the orbital elements for your version 6.0. http://www.minorplan...s/Soft07Cmt.txt
C/2011 L4 is in the southwest but magnitude is 22."
I checked a couple comet databases and it isn't listed. Rebekah
