Late on the evening of Oct 20 to pre-dawn Oct 21 is the predicted peak of the Orionid meteor shower. These meteors originate from the dust trail left by Halley's Comet, and appear to radiate from an area near Betelgeuse.
Moon glare could be an issue; predicted peak is 10-15 meteors per hour.
