Thanks, Hank. I am surprised at the amount of separation you got at just 120mm. Really, really nice composure!

When do we stop calling something a "conjunction"? Is there a defined separation that marks the end of the event? Darned if I know, so I duly submit my own experience with this most recent Venus/Jupiter interaction. Walking into my local Wally last night I spied Venus just over the rooftop, and sure enough there was Jupiter to the lower right and about to disappear. I keep an old Kodak pocket camera in the center console of the truck, and luckily the batteries were alive.
