Saturn and Mars at their Closest TONIGHT!

Postby WCGucfa » Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:54 am

Hey Guys,

If anyone is into planetary conjunctions, Saturn and Mars, 3/4 of a degree apart tonight, 7/10. Same low EP field. Be there or be square!
Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere on the BB.

I will try to view it in the same field I saw Comet McNaught. Looking forward to your pictures Bill! 8)

Thanks for the heads-up, Bill. With all the clouds I've sort of lost track of the days. Let's hope the high haze blows out after sunset...

The sky is looking pretty good out there right now. We "might" just pull this off and have a great celestial pairing/viewing tonight.

Saturn/Mars was far too low from my place. I've been out since 8 last night when the front moved thru and the sky cleared. Playing with the Hyperstar again. Report will follow.

I too got knocked out of this event as a grove of trees and the local chocolate factory blocked 90% of my view when twilight came along with the clear sky...
