Globe at Night is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution by inviting citizen-scientists to measure & submit their night sky brightness observations. It's easy to get involved - all you need is computer or smart phone.
You can join a "campaign" almost any time (new ones start every month): participants are asked to go outside during a specific ten-day period and match the stars they seen in a given constellation to one of seven magnitude charts. This is something anyone can do - no telescope required - and a fun way to learn the constellations too.
