Take a last look a Jupiter which is setting in the very early evening now. For instance
1. Can you see the moons with binoculars (Hint: use a tripod)
2. Who will be last to see the Great Red Spot?
3. Moon shadows, moon shadow. More than a song.
Jupiter - Going, going and soon GONE!
How about moon occultations? Io began slipping behind Jupiter at 5:58 this evening and was completely gone by 6:02. Very distracting trying to look at the ISS/Shuttle flyover at 6:00 while keeping track of Io.
BTW, I reported the GRS on the wrong thread. Last seen on the 19th, just short of the meridian.
