Thanks again to all who participated in last months Whatzup Challenge. I thought we had a great response both by those who posted observing reports and images and also from all those who just got out there and viewed the sky.
I’ve posted the Challenge targets for May, focusing on double stars of the different main types – naked eye, binocular, telescope doubles, and even an eclipsing binary that might also have a visual companion.
At least two of the targets, naked eye Mizar/Alcor and Epsilon Lyra are best seen by younger eyes. Let’s hear from you young members.
May the skies of May clear and the evenings comfortable, and the bugs dormant.
Please post your observation by replying to the specific Challenge topic.
