Boy, there's all kinds of stuff happening in that region if you look closely! Thanks Andy.

Before I even opened this thread, I saw the Triffid Nebula title on a post from Andy and I knew it would be spectacular. And of course, it is!! This is one of my favorite deep sky targets due to the blend of blue and red. As you might know, I have recently revamped my astrophotography set-up and I will soon be pumping out images again. Waiting for this darn Harvest Moon to pass. I realize how much time and effort go into your images. I'm sure that you are still learning little tricks and are improving your technique every time you start up your equipment. Keep 'em coming, Andy. Nice work.

Stunning, spectacular, and as you say a very "pretty picture". 8) 8) 8) 8)

Andy, thanks for the new screen saver! What awesome work. How about a work detail to travel to N.M.? We could clean the observatory, catch lizards, whatever, just to see the setup would be neat!

Thanks for all the comments, guys!

The logistics of that might be a bit tough  . But short of visiting in person, here is a video of the observatory automation in action

Nice video - explain the part again where you can sleep while all of this is happening. I haven't mastered that yet.

Amazing operation you've got there, Andy. At least a step or two above my hinge tracker. :P
