Yet another fantastic image, Andy. Perfectly captured and beautifully processed. As we all have come to expect from you.

Hoag's Object is pretty cool, also. I did not realize that this gem is only 45" across - basically the apparent size of Jupiter at opposition. Since you are working with just 2130mm of focal length, I assume that you needed to zoom-in & crop during the processing.

And finally, I have installed and have been learning how to use The AP 1100GTO and APCC software. Pretty complex for my tiny brain!! If I get stuck, I may need to call in the expert (with a dinner on me, of course).

Keep those awesome images coming.

Andy,

Really a very nice capture of the Pillars of Creation [ http://www.messier-objects.com/pillars-of-creation/ ] too!

The trouble with this hobby is there are so many cool objects to capture and simply not enough time to do it. So when you plan your sessions it is often a real challenge to choose the target.

Awesome as usual Andy. To me, the pillar region has a fluorescence feel to it. Thanks for sharing. ---- Chuck

Gorgeous, Andy. Were these Ha exposures or just Luminance?

I used Red, Green, Blue and Luminance filters. I do not yet have narrowband filters on my 12.5" scope but I plan on adding them next time I make a trip out to the obs. I have narrowband filters on the 4.5" refractor's camera but I've mostly been using the 12.5". I got some good narrowband data back in January for NGC 2264 that I have not yet processed.
