Cool. On the 'bright side' you probably didn't need any sunscreen today! :lol: (Teasing you - of course!)

What kind of solar filter are you using for these kinds of shots? Been thinking about getting one for my 100mm SW refractor before Stellafane rolls around.

One very cool thing I saw at NEAF for the first time was a Sun Funnel. Really cool device, since multiple people can view the Sun at the same time. Of course it's not for imaging, or zeroing on the finer details per se, but sure makes for comfortable viewing.

Great image Bill! I love those prominences and the filament stretching around the limb.
