Venus and Mercury Stuck in the Trees!

Unread post by WCGucfa »

Inspired by you-know-who, Venus caught my eye, caught in the trees. I was going to let it go, but just couldn't. What would Mike do?
It was getting more and more into the trees and I thought it would be worth something to see the Goddess of Love
sitting on a tree branch. I wasn't even thinking of Mercury because the tree branches were so dense, 250 feet away and
I couldn't see it.
I literally ended up chasing Venus through the branches with my tripod mounted 400mm lens.
On the last possible image, I looked at my camera screen and discovered Mercury, blushing orange, along with the Goddess, obviously
having lost some of his shyness, being imaged by Mike so many times! They seemed separated by about 50-51'.
Gee, this almost looks like what I was going for, rather than Venus alone peeking through the trees. I'll take it! Believe me, it was pure luck!
