An image of the Cocoon Nebula, IC 5146 in Cygnus.
About 20 hours exposure on those clear nights we had a couple weeks ago.

Wow Factor 10!!!! You the man Andy! What a spectacular capture.

Look at all those suns? Imagine all the exoplanets? You would have to be insane to think
that no life form exists there.

I'm starting to think you may be an alien, and conveniently fly out to these objects in
your spacecraft and "snap" the pictures with an instamatic camera.

There's nothing wrong with this. Just fess up!

Andy,

With your next screen saver, could you possibly center the object slightly to the left as my desktop icons seem to be blocking this Cocoon a bit. Thanks :P :P :P

Seriously, (actually the part about using your art as screen savers is quite serious!) what great work you do on astro imaging! Thanks again for sharing.
