Is it...Nip-Henge?

Unread post by Apollo XX »

Last evening we were at the Nip (short for Lake Nippenicket) where I was conducting my usual study of the setting sun. Now it is well known that the Nip borders the Hockomock Swamp, a hotbed of paranormal activity, http://www.cellarwalls.com/ufo/bt.htm but is it possible that the Nip is also part of an ancient astronomical alignment ritual? http://www.tivas.org.uk/stonehenge/stone_ast.html I think so! As I wandered around the shoreline looking for a photogenic vantage point, I came across what at first appeared to be just a flat, raised rock upon which I could stand. Upon doing so, it became immediately apparent that the setting sun would soon become perfectly aligned with a distance object, presumably some sort of structure erected in the days before Christ. So I stood patiently and got the shot. I think this proves without a doubt that if you stand in a very specific spot exactly 27 days after the summer solstice, that the setting sun will align with a certain distant object - exactly! How can it not be? Behold - Nip-Henge:

I expect this work will result in some editing here; http://www.world-mysteries.com/alignmen ... alindx.htm
