OK I'm a newbie, a rookie, so be kind. This is my first posted image. The target is simple. The telescope is a Explore Scientific 127 triplet. The camera a Cannon 50R DSLR at prime focus and processed in Photoshop

Image

OK, it's a start.

That's a beautiful result Don! Congrats on the new scope and the first image. I'm using it as my desktop background.

Beautiful job, Don. Nice sharp processing, too. Keep it going!

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. This is a marvelous hobby to keep the mind sharp during the later years. I remember I did some imaging back in the early seventies. But of coarse with film. I remember the dark room, the chemicals, the smell and the burning in your eyes when you accidently got the chemicals in it. I had some images way back then that were pretty fuzzy. Now that I have resumed some 40 years later, the digital age is amazing. I have a long way to go, but as they say, "It is the journey that counts".
