A WEEK OF CLEAR SKIES

Unread post by NGC7000 »

Well I lost a lot of shuteye this past week, but I just couldn't let those fantastic clear skies get away without some cosmic sailing...

Each night I went out and imaged with Pat and the TV Genesis. Pretty much all the images are 10 subs x 8minute exposures through an Ha filter and quickly processed in Images Plus. Darks and flats included....

The following images are NGC 7635,NGC 7380, and IC 1805, all good Ha targets....

Orion EQ-G. Great mount with PHD and a finderscope attached to a DSI II.

Thanks, Andy. You know, I really never did much with the DSI because of the local LP. I have an interest in getting a new camera ( Atik 314L mono or Atik 383L+ mono), but I don't want to lay out the cash unless I really think I will be able to some significant imaging from home. So I plan to be out there experimenting whenever I can. :P

Good stuff, Tom. And boy that mount is still working pretty good! You must have drained all the water out of it from CSP.

Beautiful, Tom!
It also gave me a warm feeling when you mentioned your using the EQ-G. The only time mine
fails me is when I'm too lazy to accurately align it.
Ooops! I mean the only time I fail myself!
